Job summary

Novelis is offering an on-site Automation Engineering Intern position in Guthrie, Kentucky for a ~12-week summer program. The intern will work with the local engineering team, report to the Engineering Leader, and gain hands-on experience across industrial networking, MES, and automation projects.

The role emphasizes learning, collaboration with Operations and Process Groups, and exposure to state-of-the-art manufacturing technologies. Housing/relocation support and competitive pay are provided.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited 4-year University.
• Sophomore, Junior, Senior, or recent Graduate seeking hands-on industry experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Learn about industrial networking, infrastructure, application development, and data communication between systems.
• Provide support for Automation Engineering Projects.
• Assist in improving plant MES and manufacturing automation systems.
• Contribute to scripting interfaces and messaging between MES and sub-systems.
• Maintain automation cluster, servers, storage, and virtual environment.
