Job summary

Concentric Integration, a subsidiary of Baxter & Woodman, Inc., seeks an Automation Engineer to design, program, install, and test water/wastewater control systems in Naperville or Mokena, IL. You will work on PLC/OIT/HMI programming, instrumentation configuration, and start-up support for municipal clients.

The role demands 5+ years in electrical/controls engineering, strong PLC/SCADA skills, and ability to travel to sites. On-call duties and 50 lb lifts are part of the job.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as Electrical/Controls Engineer in design, programming, installation, and startup.
• 5+ years’ experience programming Allen-Bradley Logix PLCs.
• 5+ years’ experience with fieldwork (panel wiring, startup, and emergency support/troubleshooting).
• 5+ years’ experience with SCADA software development (FactoryTalk View SE, Ignition, Wonderware, VTScada, or iFix).
• 3+ years’ experience programming Allen-Bradley PanelView or other touch screens.
• Strong networking/computer skills, literacy, & proficiency.
• Excellent oral, written, & digital communication skills.
• Must be able to interact with staff, clients, engineers & contractors.

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual design, solutions, and product specifications per end-user requirements.
• Provide in-house PLC/OIT/HMI programming and testing.
• Provide onsite work for municipal clients including instrumentation configuration and start-up.
• On-call 24/7 for instrumentation and control system issues (rotating weekly).
• Occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.
