Job summary

Motion is seeking a Senior Industrial Controls Engineer to design and develop industrial control panels and automation systems in Chicago, IL. This role emphasizes electrical design, panel layouts, and compliance with UL508A standards.

The ideal candidate has over 7 years of experience, strong knowledge of electrical codes, and the ability to manage multiple projects. Occasional travel to customer sites will be required for system startup and support. Competitive compensation and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in industrial control panel design.
• Strong knowledge of UL508A, NEC, and NFPA 79.
• Experience performing SCCR calculations.

Responsibilities

• Design industrial control panels in compliance with UL508A.
• Collaborate with panel shop personnel during fabrication.
• Provide onsite installation and system startup support.
