Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. in Rahway, NJ seeks an Automation Engineer for end‑to‑end automation support in sterile clinical manufacturing. You'll manage PLC/SCADA systems, ensure data integrity, and drive continuous improvement across OT/IT in GMP operations.

Responsibilities include on‑floor troubleshooting, change control, CAPAs, and collaboration with QA, IT, and manufacturing teams to support capital projects and regulatory filings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, IT, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in process automation in GMP environments.
• Strong project management and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Maintain automation systems in validated, compliant state per cGMP.
• Provide on-floor troubleshooting for sterile manufacturing processes.
• Lead automation changes, investigations, and CAPAs.
• Represent automation in audits and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate capital projects and vendor work.
