Job summary

Vesuvius USA in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair production equipment. This role requires hands-on skills, strong safety discipline, and the ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC systems.

You will diagnose breakdowns, perform PMs and capital projects, read prints, and execute repairs. Welding, pipe fitting, and lift-truck operation may be required, with an emphasis on reliability and timely responses.

Qualifications

• Must follow all HSE standards and safety rules.
• Must have a Maintenance Journeyman’s card or 2 years technical courses in relevant fields.
• Minimum 5 years industrial maintenance with troubleshooting in electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLCs.
• Physically able to perform heavy manual labor.
• Qualified lift truck operator.
• Good written and verbal communication; accurate records.
• Bring own basic tools for the job.
• Working knowledge of PLCs and machine controls.
• Quality-focused with strong HSE practices.
• Independent worker with proven attendance.
• Ability to follow complex instructions.
• Active member of the ERT.

Responsibilities

• Ensure personal safety and compliance with all HSE requirements.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Work on breakdowns, PMs, capital projects and scheduled maintenance.
• Work independently and/or with management/engineer instructions.
• Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical prints.
• Weld, burn, pipe fit and perform electrical assembly work.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and make timely repairs.
• Work with and understand PLCs.
• Use maintenance hand and power tools proficiently.
• Operate a lift truck as required.
• Carry out other duties including plumbing, fixtures, heaters, and lift truck repairs.
• Carry tool belt with minimum tools at all times.
