A Senior Automation Engineer designs, develops, and maintains automation frameworks and tools to improve productivity and quality across the organization.
General Responsibilities
- Diagnose, resolves, and escalates service impacting issues.
- Uses continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipeline to support automated testing and deployments.
- Develop monitoring and alerting platforms to detect and resolve performance impacting issues.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and provide solutions that meet business needs.
- Provides technical support to the development team.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Level-Specific Responsibilities
- Leads the design and implementation of complex automation solutions that span multiple teams and systems.
- Develops and maintains automation strategies and roadmaps that align with business goals and objectives.
- Evaluates new automation technologies and tools and makes recommendations for adoption.
- Automates and streamlines software delivery processes.
- Implements advanced integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Develops and implements metrics and analytics to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of automated processes.
- Mentors and provides guidance to junior team members, promotes best practices, and maintains quality standards.
- Acts as a subject matter expert in automation and provides guidance to other team within the organization.
Accountability/Complexity
- May manage projects requiring the responsibility of delegating work and reviewing resulting work product.
- May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within job area.
- May function as a team lead and assistant to the supervisor/manager.
Experience
- 6 year’s relevant experience.
Education
Must meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college)
- Associate’s Degree in a Technical Field
- Certification in relevant focus area
