Job Summary
PatientPoint is looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join our Business Systems organization and play an integral role in building out the test automation services. You will be testing our Salesforce custom applications and developing test automation using Provar and other tools. You’ll work with all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including collaborating on solution design, development, implementation, and enhancements to automate test scripts for our solutions. The Senior Test Automation Engineer will also play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing team members, collaborating cross-functionally, and influencing the QA strategy at a company-wide level. The primary responsibility will be to work in partnership with developers, product management, and QA Team to define, design, and execute testing, build or modify the automation framework. You will develop a deep understanding of our processes and the complex use cases to test them. You will also create a robust set of automated tests that will result in a deep and flexible set of tests that will become the primary foundation of our regression deployment and continuous delivery testing.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans across multiple projects.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners/BA’s/Architects/QA Testers in refinement and defining story acceptance criteria for controls-based software utilized in automated systems for material movement.
  • Expand, enhance, and maintain automation testing tools to perform proper regression testing.
  • Analyze system requirements and review technical specifications to assess, evaluate, and create testing requirements for all business processes for functional and end-to-end scenarios.
  • Build and maintain robust test automation architecture, framework, methodologies, and processes using industry best practices and tools like Provar or similar.
  • Collaborate with CI/CD teams and functions to integrate testing pipelines.
  • Mentor and train junior QA engineers, promoting a culture of quality and continuous improvement
  • Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and strategies.

What We Need

  • 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead QA role.
  • 2+ years of experience in Salesforce related testing and QA
  • 2+ years of experience working in Agile projects
  • 2+ years of experience with Provar
  • Strong proficiency in QA methodologies, test planning, and test execution.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs testing
  • Experience with distributed source control systems such as Git
  • Experience in requirements gathering, designing test plans, defect management, project tracking, reporting, and End of Test report creation
  • Integration of testing controls into CI/CD pipeline and within release management processes
  • Experience with test runners reporting and linking into Continuous Integration (CI) servers such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Travis or CircleCI

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Experience in software testing of Salesforce related customizations.
  • Experience with Salesforce services such as Community Cloud, FSL, Services/Sales Cloud.
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and executive leadership.
  • Certification with TMAP and/or ISTQB
  • Familiarity with cloud-based testing and services (e.g., Salesforce).

Base Salary Band: $90,000.00 - $196,000.00
