Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer in Anderson, SC to support and improve automated manufacturing systems. You will program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLCs, HMIs, robotics, vision systems, and related controls to boost safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.

The ideal candidate will enjoy solving complex technical problems, collaborating with production teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience programming and troubleshooting PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
• Strong ability to read electrical schematics and interpret technical documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC, HMI, and robotic automation systems.
• Support automated production equipment to maximize uptime and efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve controls, electrical, and automation-related issues.
• Lead root cause analysis activities and implement corrective actions.
• Support new equipment installations, commissioning, and production launches.
• Develop and maintain automation documentation, schematics, and standards.
• Work with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve plant performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
