Job summary

Triton Metal Products is seeking an Automation Engineer (Robotics) to design, program, implement, and maintain robotic and automated systems at our Hamilton, IN site. You will lead robotic programming, cell integration, and controls documentation to optimize throughput and quality.

This onsite role reports to the Engineering Manager and requires strong collaboration with production teams. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of industrial robotics experience and proficiency in FANUC and PLC

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industrial robotics experience.
• FANUC and PLC programming experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Program and troubleshoot industrial robots including FANUC, ABB, Yaskawa, KUKA, and Universal Robots.
• Develop robotic welding, material handling, machine tending, and palletizing applications.
• Support robotic cell installations and commissioning.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and control systems.
• Develop and maintain electrical schematics and controls documentation.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual manufacturing processes.
• Design and implement solutions that improve throughput, quality, and safety.
• Provide daily support for robotic and automated equipment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Reduce scrap, labor costs, and downtime through automation.
• Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Manage automation projects from concept through implementation.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI/RIA safety standards.

The Automation Engineer (Robotics) supports Triton manufacturing operations by designing, programming, implementing, and maintaining robotic and automated systems.

Robotics Programming & Integration
