Job summary

Entegee is seeking an Automation Engineer – Robotic Programming to design, program, and integrate advanced robotic and automation systems for manufacturing. You will develop PLC, HMI, and motion control software using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and work with robots, vision systems, and conveyors to deliver turnkey solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in industrial automation or robotics, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to coordinate with engineers and customers on site in Kansas.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, mechatronics, automation, or related field.
  • 3+ years in industrial automation, robotics, or controls engineering.
  • Experience programming PLCs and motion control with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
  • Hands-on experience integrating robotic automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Experience commissioning automated equipment in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.

Automation Engineer – Robotic Programming

Automation Engineer with experience in robot programming, Beckhoff TwinCAT, motion control, cobots, and industrial system integration, you'll work on innovative manufacturing projects from concept through commissioning.

  • Design, program, and integrate advanced robotic and automation systems for manufacturing applications.
  • Develop PLC, HMI, and motion control software using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial robots, collaborative robots, and Epson robotic systems.
  • Integrate robots with machine vision, servo systems, sensors, conveyors, and peripheral equipment.
  • Develop controls architecture, electrical I/O, and industrial communication networks.
  • Configure and troubleshoot EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Modbus networks.
  • Perform machine startup, commissioning, debugging, validation, and production support.
  • Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and customer installations.
  • Create technical documentation including operating procedures, controls documentation, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Provide technical support and training for customers and production teams.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, project managers, and customers to deliver successful automation solutions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial automation, robotics, or controls engineering.
  • Experience programming PLCs and motion control systems using Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
  • Hands-on experience integrating robotic automation systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
  • Experience commissioning automated equipment in manufacturing environments.
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills.
