C & J Industries Inc in Meadville, PA is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our plastics manufacturing team. We design, build, and maintain automation systems including PLCs, SCADA, and robotics to optimize production lines.

You will analyze requirements, program automation, troubleshoot downtime, ensure safety standards, and document configurations. A strong engineering background and experience with automation in manufacturing are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Mechanical/Automation or related field.
• Experience with automation systems in manufacturing, preferably plastics.
• Ability to read 2D/3D drawings and schematics.
• Familiarity with robotics, sensors, actuators and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate automation development, scheduling, and design resolution.
• Assess customer requirements for new automation needs.
• Track budgets and delivery dates for automation projects.
• Troubleshoot automation-related downtime.
• Collaborate with production/engineering to optimize workflows.
• Program and maintain PLCs, SCADA, and robotics.
