Job summary

JC Automation Corp. (JCA) seeks an Automation Engineer to integrate, program, troubleshoot and support automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.

The role ensures equipment connects to the plant network and that PLC, HMI, and vision systems run reliably according to manufacturing requirements. Focus areas include equipment integration, controls programming, system troubleshooting, networking, and automation reliability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of industrial communication networks and equipment integration.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation control platforms.
• Understanding of automated manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate manufacturing equipment into plant automation and network systems
• Program, configure, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
• Support vision systems and machine inspection applications
• Troubleshoot automation, communication, and controls-related issues
• Support equipment commissioning, startup, and qualification activities
• Maintain automation documentation, backups, and control system configurations
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Engineering, IT/OT, and equipment vendors
• Support system changes, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives
