Job summary
Kinder Morgan Inc. seeks an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to design, program, and support automation systems for natural gas facilities. You will work with AB and Siemens PLCs, Wonderware InTouch, and ArchestrA platforms, traveling to sites for installation and commissioning as needed.
You will read electrical and I&C drawings, interface across disciplines, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance while delivering high-quality solutions on schedule.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of instrumentation and control engineering experience with systems integration or related experience.
- Extensive experience designing and programming Allen Bradley and/or Siemens PLC systems.
- Proven experience configuring and developing HMI applications in Wonderware InTouch and ArchestrA System Platform.
- Ability to learn new programming languages and skills as needed.
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, program, implement and support monitoring and control systems for natural gas pipeline compressor stations and related facilities.
- Design, program, test and maintain PLC/RTU based automation systems (AB PLC, Siemens PLC, Bristol Babcock RTU).
- Design and maintain PC-based HMI systems (Wonderware InTouch/AVEVA InTouch).
- Specify and configure communications protocols, media and hardware for automation networks.
- Provide on-site services, commissioning, and troubleshooting support.
- Ensure tasks are completed with quality and in compliance with codes and standards.
