Job summary

CMC seeks an Electrical Engineer to support automation in our Martinsburg, WV facilities. You will manage databases, program PLCs, HMI, and related automation systems, while coordinating with manufacturing teams to optimize processes.

The role requires knowledge of Level II/PLC equipment (Siemens/Allen Bradley), SQL and Crystal Reports, with a focus on reliability and efficiency in steel-related production environments.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Level II and PLC equipment (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLCs, VFDs, HMIs).
• Solid understanding of databases and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in database management and programming.
• Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment.
• Able to program SQL and Crystal Reports; Siemens 7 PLC and Intouch-Wonderware.
• Ability to maintain and modify Graphical User Interface Programs (HMI).
• Through understanding of Level II system interfaces with Level 1 PLC systems, the OWS, HMI's and SAP.
• Proactively seek new automation solutions to improve consistency and efficiency.
• Ability to communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals.
• General knowledge of Steel Mill Process.
