Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support automation and process control across its facilities. You’ll work with PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, instrumentation, and related systems.

Candidates should have database and programming skills and be able to program SQL and Crystal Reports; Siemens or Allen-Bradley PLCs and Wonderware/Intouch experience is a plus. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering preferred; on-site in Martinsburg, WV with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

Knowledge of Level II and PLC equipment (Siemens/Allen Bradley, VFDs, HMIs)
Solid understanding of databases and programming languages
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

Responsibilities

Proficient in database management and programming
Assist in maintaining Variable Frequency Drives, Programmable Logic Controllers, Instrumentation, Process computers and related equipment
Able to program SQL and Crystal Reports; Siemen's 7 PLC and Intouch-Wonderware
Ability to maintain and modify Graphical User Interface Programs (HMI)
Understanding Level II interfaces with Level 1 PLC systems, OWS, HMIs and SAP
Proactively seek new automation solutions to improve consistency and efficiency
Communicate effectively with appropriate departments/individuals
General knowledge of Steel Mill Process
