Job summary
Saint-Gobain in Portage, Wisconsin, is seeking an Automation Engineer to specify, install, document and troubleshoot automation equipment for new and existing products, translating concepts into functional systems at our Portage Manufacturing facility.
The role focuses on improving plant efficiency through automation projects, design/build of capital programs, and startup support, with collaboration across Process, Electrical, and Manufacturing teams; CAD and 3D printing knowledge and robotics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing required.
- Minimum 2 years of Automation Engineer experience.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong data collection and analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Specify, install, document, and troubleshoot automation equipment for new and existing products.
- Improve plant efficiency through automation projects and support.
- Collaborate with process experts and engineering teams to implement automation on the production floor.
