Job summary

rms Company, a Cretex Medical entity, seeks an Automation Engineer to lead the development and execution of manufacturing processes, validate operations, and troubleshoot production issues in a state-of-the-art facility.

You will collaborate with Quality, Sales, and Operations to ensure process capability and continuous improvement, while ensuring safety and adherence to ISO and medical device requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent training and experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand quality plans.
• Must possess the ability to troubleshoot issues using disciplined root cause analysis tools.
• Complete understanding of a variety of plastic injection molding machines and secondary operations equipment.
• Strong Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish capable processes for new and existing tooling using modeling tools to simulate material flow.
• Standardize and support set-up procedures and tools to reduce set-up times.
• Develop, model and document processes to meet functional, financial, and quality goals.
• Participate in development of validation protocols with Quality, Sales, and Operations.
• Execute OQ protocols to meet customer process capability requirements on critical features.
• Support PQ protocols to meet customer process capability requirements on critical features.
• Identify and support continuous improvement opportunities for processes performing below standards.
• Analyze weekly yield and inspection data with Quality to resolve problem processes and tools.
• Analyze weekly delivery and productivity data with Operations to resolve problem processes and tools.
• Provide technical coaching to production employees and the support team.
• Communicate with customers regarding molding and validation process details.
• Monitor safety and OE program usage.
• Partner with Sales/Marketing, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Finance.
