Position Summary & Responsibilities

1. Interface with various equipment and systems, including PLCs, SCADAs, HMIs, Servers, Databases, Data Historian, Visualization, and other automation equipment.
2. Support networking tasks such as VLAN, Subnets, and IP protocols.
3. Lead and support the design, optimization, commissioning, or validation of equipment as the automation lead.
4. Collaborate across functions and assist system owners in process development as the automation SME.
5. Review and approve requirements, specifications, drawings, coding procedures, and guidelines.
6. Provide technical guidance and training on systems, software, equipment, and procedures.
7. Communicate priorities and progress regularly with the team.
8. Apply high technical ability with a troubleshooting approach to identify and implement fixes.
9. Review and approve documentation for equipment and process qualification.
10. Author, review, and revise SOPs and specifications to maintain equipment and systems.
11. Ensure proper documentation practices during maintenance.
12. Recommend and initiate activities to maintain compliance of areas and equipment.
13. Assess and implement improvements in productivity, waste reduction, quality, and cost.
14. Lead investigations and studies with minimal supervision.
15. Engage with regulatory personnel during audits and inspections.
16. Perform quality audits to ensure devices are operational.

* In the absence of the Senior Manager, act as the interim Automation Department manager.

* Provide 24/7 support as part of a rotating on-call system.

* Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Significant experience supporting manufacturing operations in a regulated or cGMP environment.
2. Experience with automation systems such as Rockwell, Inductive (Ignition), Aveva (Wonderware), Siemens, Emerson (GE), or B&R.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field.
• Experience with FactoryTalk Batch, Data Historian, Visualization systems like Aveva PI (OSI PI), and Microsoft SQL databases.
• Knowledge of GAMP 5, ISA standards, and GMP principles (change control, deviation, CAPA, validation, and qualification).

Additional Conditions

1. Visual skills such as reading, color vision, depth perception, or visual acuity.
2. Ability to interpret sounds and visual data from reports and devices.
