Qualifications

Platform Engineer IV (Azure/Windows) - Remote

The Opportunity:

The Platform Engineer IV will design, build, and maintain scalable Windows/Azure platform solutions supporting application development and deployment. This senior role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and DevOps practices. The engineer will collaborate with developers, operations, and stakeholders to ensure the platform aligns with organizational needs.

Day in the Life:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Windows/Azure platform solutions for application deployment
  • Manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, including virtual networks, storage, and compute resources
  • Manage on-premises and Azure Active Directory environments, including Group Policies and AD schema modifications
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines with architects
  • Manage identity and access solutions, including SSO and MFA
  • Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Follow cloud security and compliance best practices, enforcing RBAC and least privilege
  • Use IaC tools like Terraform to automate operations and provide self-service capabilities
  • Work with development teams to understand needs and provide platform solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
  • Azure certifications preferred
  • 7+ years in IT, specializing in Windows and OS technologies
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure on Azure
  • Skills in managing Azure resources with ARM and Terraform
  • Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, and compliance
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Experience with virtualization tools like VMware or Hyper-V
  • Understanding of cloud networking, storage, and load balancers
  • Proficiency with containers and orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes
  • Strong Windows system management skills
  • Expertise in Active Directory design and management
  • Skills in identity and access management within Azure AD, SSO, MFA
  • Ability to lead complex projects including migrations and deployments

Pay Range

$95,800.00 to $124,500.00. Actual pay depends on experience and other factors.
