The Opportunity

The Platform Engineer IV will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable Windows/Azure platform solutions supporting application development and deployment. This senior role requires expertise in cloud infrastructure, automation, and modern DevOps practices. The engineer will collaborate with developers, operations, and stakeholders to ensure the platform meets technical and business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Windows/Azure platform solutions for application deployment
  • Manage cloud infrastructure on Azure, including virtual networks, storage, and compute resources
  • Implement and maintain on-premises and Azure Active Directory environments, manage Group Policies, AD schema, and organizational units
  • Partner with architects to implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery
  • Manage identity and access solutions, including SSO and MFA
  • Ensure platform scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Follow best practices for cloud security and compliance, enforce RBAC and least privilege principles
  • Utilize IaC tools like Terraform and cloud templates for operations and self-service capabilities
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand needs and provide platform solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, IT, security, or related field
  • Azure certifications preferred
  • 7+ years in IT, with focus on Windows and OS technologies
  • Experience designing and deploying cloud infrastructure on Azure
  • Skills in managing Azure resources with ARM and IaC tools like Terraform
  • Knowledge of cloud security, encryption, identity protection, and compliance
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
  • Proficiency with virtualization tools like VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
  • Understanding of cloud networking, storage, and load balancers
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Strong Windows system management, scripting, and performance tuning skills
  • Expertise in Active Directory design and management, including schema extension
  • Skills in identity and access management within Azure AD, including SSO and MFA
  • Ability to lead complex projects involving migrations, upgrades, and deployments

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $95,800 - $124,500 (adjusted based on experience). Benefits include competitive wages, health insurance, PTO, 401k, HSA, FSA, wellness programs, tuition reimbursement, and more.
