Job summary

Lhoist North America is seeking an Automation Engineer to develop, maintain, and support process networks and control systems at the Apex Plant and other sites. The role covers data acquisition, storage, MES integration, and reporting tools, ensuring safety and efficiency across operations.

You will troubleshoot instrumentation, optimize control settings, and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automation or a related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of industrial experience in process controls/automation design, operation, and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Support Process Control and Automation Systems at plant sites.
• Troubleshoot and fix instrumentation or control system problems to keep production running.
• Program and maintain systems like VMIs, PLCs, HMIs, and network devices.
• Manage engineering data acquisition, cleaning, transformation, storage, security, and reporting.
• Follow LNA standards and update network diagrams as needed.
