Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC seeks a skilled process control and automation professional to ensure compliant design and reliable operation of process control systems. You will collaborate with global teams to meet URS/IFA standards, interface with vendors, and lead improvements across manufacturing systems.

The role emphasizes project leadership, problem-solving using cLEAN/Six Sigma, and continuous development of site controls expertise. On-site work with travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/related field with at least five years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems.
• Associate’s Degree accepted with seven years of related experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems.
• High School/GED with nine years of engineering experience in process-based manufacturing, utilities, or packaging systems.
• Knowledgeable in SAP EM, PLC, DCS/SCADA, MES, Oracle, MS SQL; historian experience is a plus.
• Ability to manage projects, plan, organize, and execute with follow-up and completion.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with local and global project teams to ensure process design complies with standards.
• Define interface agreements and align requirements with equipment vendors.
• Develop and implement plans to maintain and improve process control systems.
• Coordinate with manufacturing schedules for planned activities and changes.
• Assist with budgeting for maintaining and improving process control systems.
• Develop and maintain automation standards, specs, and maintenance plans.
• Support audits and inspections as SME for process control systems.
• Train colleagues and stakeholders in relevant areas.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in engineering/related field, with 5+ years engineering experience in process-based manufacturing

Associate's Degree with 7+ years engineering experience

High School Degree/GED with 9+ years engineering experience
