Job summary
JR Automation, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Controls Engineer II to design, implement and document control systems for automated equipment at our Holland, MI site. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure robust, scalable controls solutions and support project execution from design through validation.
Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of related experience, strong PLC/HMI/robotics skills, and proficiency with AutoCAD.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of related experience and/or training.
- Exposure to industry, an equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Experience with PLCs, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision Systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement and document control systems for automated equipment.
- Coordinate machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with build and electrical teams.
- Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and JR Automation build specifications.
