Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing partner, seeks an Automation Engineer II to design, validate, and support automated manufacturing equipment. You will work with project managers, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, equipment validation, and connection of PLC-based controls with vision systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing or Automation Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in automation, manufacturing engineering or related field.
• Experience with automated assembly systems and validation approaches (IQ/OQ/PQ).

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automated manufacturing equipment and production systems.
• Review specifications to tailor automation solutions for manufacturing needs.
• Create design drawings, manuals, installation instructions.
• Execute IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities for equipment.
• Troubleshoot automation systems, robots, vision controls and equipment.
• Support commissioning, startup, and qualification of new equipment.
• Collaborate across manufacturing, quality, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Integrate vision systems, sensors, motion control and PLCs.
• Analyze data to optimize processes and reduce waste.
• Manage multiple automation projects within safety and budget constraints.
