Job summary

Jabil Automation is seeking an Automation Design Engineer II to design automation equipment across mechanical, electronics, electrical, and software applications. You will review requirements, draft designs, and ensure on-time delivery within budget while meeting specs.

Work with Project Managers and engineers to guarantee manufacturability, prepare installation and user manuals, and log engineering time in the tracking system. 3–5 years in automation design preferred.

Qualifications

B.Sc. in Mechanical or Electronics/Electrical Engineering.
3–5 years of working experience in automation equipment design and installation.
Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.

Responsibilities

Designs automation equipment in mechanical, electronics, electrical, or software application engineering.
Works closely with Project Manager/Engineer to meet project timeline and within budget.
Reviews, understands and interprets requirements/specifications for integration into design of equipment.
Ensures design for manufacturability.
Acts as liaison with internal/external assemblers/manufacturer to ensure parts meet design.
Generates design drawings, installation manual, and user manual.
Ensures engineering times are logged into the tracking system.
