Job summary

Jabil, a global engineering and manufacturing solutions provider, seeks an Automation Engineer II to design, develop, validate, and support automated manufacturing equipment and processes. You will collaborate with project managers, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.

The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, equipment validation, and continuous improvement, including NPI support and documentation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
3–5 years of automation/manufacturing engineering experience.
Experience with automated assembly systems and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ methodologies.
Experience troubleshooting automated production equipment and integrated systems.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design and develop automated manufacturing equipment, fixtures, and production systems.
Review requirements and develop automation solutions for manufacturing needs.
Generate mechanical, electrical, and process documentation.
Execute equipment validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Troubleshoot automation systems, robots, vision systems, and controls.
Support commissioning, startup, and qualification of new equipment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve process capability.
