IntePros is seeking an Automation Engineer I to join an expanding biomanufacturing operation in Pittsburgh. This role offers hands-on mentorship while helping build and own automation systems at a growing site.

Responsibilities include configuring PLC/HMI/SCADA, supporting Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms, and ensuring regulatory-ready documentation. Onsite work and GMP exposure are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 1–2 years in automation, controls, robotics or systems engineering.
• Foundational understanding of PLCs, HMIs, control loops, and automation.
• Experience reading electrical diagrams and troubleshooting automation hardware.
• Exposure to Rockwell/Allen-Bradley or Siemens platforms.
• Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication, onsite work readiness.

Responsabilités

• Support automation projects from design through maintenance.
• Configure and support PLC, HMI, SCADA and historian systems.
• Work with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Read and maintain electrical drawings and control documentation.
• Assist in specifying and implementing new equipment and technologies.
• Support equipment installations and manufacturing process transfers.
• Develop and execute test plans, maintain validated state.
• Create SOPs, documentation and training materials.
• Collaborate with Quality and Validation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Assist users with process data collection, reporting and audits.
• Support lab systems and automated lab equipment.
• Participate in future on-call rotation as the facility scales.
