Job summary

ESCO Group in Altoona is seeking an Automation Engineer to join the Automation team. The role provides technical services on client projects and requires a basic understanding of PLCs, HMIs, and IT/OT networking. Travel to client sites and on-site work are expected.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers to learn automation requirements, modify existing programs, and contribute to project success while growing your expertise in industrial automation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and implementation of automation projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Assist with PLC and HMI programming and configuration.
• Learn IT/OT networking and system security concepts.
• Perform modifications on existing display objects and templates and understand industrial process flows.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary engineers to meet automation requirements.
