Job summary

ESCO Group seeks an Automation Engineer to join the Omaha team. You will contribute to design and implementation of industrial automation projects, programming PLCs and HMIs, and learning IT/OT networking and system security.

Travel to client sites and on-site commissioning are part of the role. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, modify existing programs, and help understand and optimize client processes within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Basic aptitude with technology and/or industrial environments.
• Interest in learning IT/OT networking and system security.
• Good documentation and organization skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing details and circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and implementation of industrial automation projects to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
• Assist design, program, and configuration of PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor processes.
• Learn IT/OT networking and system security.
• Modify existing display objects and templates.
• Learn and understand the flow of industrial processes.
• Collaborate with diverse teams to understand client processes.
• Modify existing programs as needed and resolve conflicts.
• Perform delegated work onsite under Project Manager direction.
• Travel to client sites to implement, test, and commission automation systems.
