Job summary
Molex is seeking an Automation Engineer to join our Hudson, WI team. You will install, qualify, optimize, and support EBO and FLM manufacturing equipment used in fiber optic assembly operations.
The role focuses on improving throughput, reliability, and deployment of new automation technologies while supporting NPI and production readiness. You will interface with the Zhuhai automation team on site or remotely as needed, lead machine qualification, and drive process improvements to scale
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- 2+ years in a Manufacturing Automation environment.
- Experience in automated manufacturing to improve efficiency.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings (SolidWorks/UG).
- Ability to read electrical schematics and pneumatic diagrams.
- Experience commissioning servo/stepper motors and pneumatics.
- Experience with mass production automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead installation, startup, calibration, and commissioning of EBO and FLM machines.
- Develop and execute equipment qualification protocols (Installation, Operational and Performance Qualification).
- Support production readiness activities and process validation.
- Communicate status or plan of automation with Zhuhai team on site or remotely.
- Drive deployment of new automation technologies into production.
