Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS), a division of Amphenol Corporation, seeks an Automation Engineer in Raleigh, NC to design, build, and maintain enterprise workflow automations. You will partner with AI Solutions, IS, Data Engineering, and business stakeholders to convert manual processes into reliable automated workflows using Microsoft Power Platform, APIs, and governance best practices.

Qualifications

BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Automation, or related field.
3–7+ years of experience building workflow automations, business-process automations, integrations, low-code/no-code apps, or API-connected solutions.
Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and related automation tools.
Knowledge of APIs, connectors, webhooks, data triggers, and exception handling patterns.
Experience with SQL basics and scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell).
Ability to map processes to automation requirements and deliver reliable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain workflow automations.
Develop automations across engineering, NPI, operations, quality, supply chain, finance, and commercial teams.
Build automations using Power Platform, APIs, and related tools.
Integrate AI outputs into governed workflows where appropriate.
Consume trusted data sources, APIs, and dashboards to trigger automations.
Map current-state processes and validate future-state workflows.
Develop reusable workflow patterns, approval flows, and notifications.
Ensure security, data governance, and change-management compliance.
Support pilot deployments, training, adoption, and post-launch improvements.
Troubleshoot failures, integration issues, and permission problems.
Explore low-code/no-code, scripting, APIs, and RPA based on value and governance.
