Job summary

Meso Scale Diagnostics LLC in Gaithersburg, MD is seeking a Project Engineer to support the development of new automated systems for consumables manufacturing. You will work within established quality systems to release electromechanical designs into design control, and coordinate purchasing and sourcing to meet project needs.

Required BS in mechanical or electrical engineering with experience in electro-mechanical design, prototyping, and modeling tools such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Experience in mechanical/electrical design or project engineering roles preferred.
• Experience with prototype or low volume electro-mechanical systems preferred.
• Experience in design review of electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or other modeling software.

Responsibilities

• Release electromechanical designs into design control.
• Manage purchasing and vendor activities for COTS and machined parts.
• Critically analyze part designs to identify issues and cost-saving opportunities.
• Source electronic and mechanical components based on required performance specifications.
• Support 1-2 concurrent projects on the critical path while following safety policies.
