Job summary

REN Seafoods is seeking an experienced Electrical/Automation Technician in Mobile, AL. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems in a food processing environment.

Responsibilities include disassembly/assembly of equipment, reading schematics and blueprints, programming PLCs, and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Prior food packaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read, write and do basic arithmetic functions.
• Basic understanding of equipment manuals and electrical schematics.
• Demonstrated success in troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Familiarity with hydraulic/pneumatic, IT basics, switches, PLCs, and building electric.
• High school diploma or equivalent with technical coursework.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble production equipment for parts replacement.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment by cleaning, lubricating and replacing worn parts.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Install and maintain automated systems and machinery.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and manuals to guide repair work.
• Program and set up production equipment to meet specified parameters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of automation processes.
