Job summary

Trident Seafoods is seeking a PLC Controls Technician at the Motley Plant to install, troubleshoot, and support automated processing equipment. You will assess performance, guide improvements, and collaborate with vendors to enhance control systems.

This role requires hands-on experience with industrial automation, especially Allen-Bradley PLCs, and calibration of weighing systems. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and full-time hours.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years’ experience with industrial controls/automation installation, troubleshooting and repair.
Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs (500, 5000, Studio, Factory Talk View HMI, Power Flex).
Preferred: one-year certificate in maintenance-related field; 5 years’ experience in industrial automation troubleshooting; experience calibrating weighing systems.

Responsibilities

Installs and supports automated processing equipment; troubleshoots performance issues.
Advises management on equipment performance and potential improvements.
Supports maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
Collaborates with vendors and teams for installation and repair techniques.
Reads schematics, blueprints, and manuals to troubleshoot and install controls.
Ensures staff training and SOP adoption for location procedures.
