Job summary

Accelera Staffing seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep automated process equipment running through proactive adjustments, repairs, and replacements. You will handle machine changeovers, troubleshoot electrical/pneumatic/mechanical faults, and support uptime.

Qualifications include VFD/PLC experience, ability to read schematics, use measuring devices, and lift up to 50 lbs. Weekend/overtime flexibility is required in a high-speed production environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of 3-phase 480V power with 24VDC and 120VAC circuits.
• Experience with VFD-controlled systems and PLCs.
• Repair, maintenance, diagnostics of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read mechanical diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Operate measuring devices and power tools.
• Maintain personal hand and test tools for automated machinery.
• Basic Windows computer literacy.
• Flexible to work weekends or overtime on short notice.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong teamwork and communication.
• Color vision.
• Experience with industrial painting is a plus.
• Familiarity with Mitsubishi and ABB/SEW drives is a plus.
• Commitment to safety PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Execute machine changeovers between parts and jobs.
• Resolve blockages and address product quality issues related to metal and plastic parts.
• Identify and fix mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical faults to improve uptime.
• Analyze electrical problems involving motor controls, servo systems, relays, sensors, and PLCs.
• Refine and troubleshoot tooling, fixtures, tracks, and bowl feeding mechanisms.
• Manage robot error recovery, coordinate systems, jog functions, and positional adjustments.
• Carry out routine preventative maintenance tasks across all machine subsystems.
• Sanitize equipment and perform essential mechanical calibrations.
• Record all modifications applied to tooling, fixtures, and machinery.
• Track spare parts stock levels and maintain logs of maintenance history.
• Collaborate with the automation team and production staff to provide updates on machine performance and status.
