Job summary

Accelera seeks aMaintenance Technician with electrical and mechanical focus to support our Chicago-area operations. This role emphasizes diagnosing and repairing high- and low-voltage systems, VFDs, sensors, and control panels while maintaining pumps, conveyors, and motors.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years in industrial maintenance, strong electrical and mechanical skills, and strict adherence to LOTO and safety protocols. Night shift, full-time, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair complex electrical issues.
• Direct experience managing 3-phase electrical systems ranging from 450V to 480V.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mechanical maintenance and general repair work.
• Technical background in troubleshooting VFDs, motor starters, sensors, and electrical panels.
• Practical knowledge of LOTO safety procedures.
• Skilled in interpreting complex wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics.
• Proficiency in operating standard electrical testing and diagnostic instrumentation.
• Familiarity with standard preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve issues within high- and low-voltage power systems up to 480V.
• Maintain and repair pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, motors, and chains.
• Analyze equipment malfunctions to determine root causes.
• Execute routine preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on facility systems.
• Adhere to LOTO protocols during service activities.
• Utilize electrical schematics and drawings to guide repairs.
• Install or repair mechanical parts and electrical controls.
• Assist with equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and new installations.
• Provide rapid response to emergency breakdowns to restore production.
