Job summary

Newell Brands seeks an Associate Automation Engineer to support the Engineering, Reliability & Automation organization. You will help develop, maintain, and deploy engineering standards, playbooks, and templates across manufacturing and distribution networks.

This early-career role (1-2 years) offers exposure to design for manufacturing, capital project support, and knowledge management, with collaboration across ERA leaders, site teams, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering field is required.
• 1-2 years of engineering experience preferred.
• Internship/co-op/capstone/academic project experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with CAD, DFM, Lean, Six Sigma, FMEA/PFMEA, project mgmt tools, or technical writing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering standards, guidelines, templates, and site-facing docs.
• Support ERA standards library with clear structure and version control.
• Capture lessons learned from pilot projects and translate to reusable guidance.
• Create training materials, playbooks, and checklists for standardization.
• Review drawings, specs, vendor data, and project docs under senior guidance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
