Job summary

Ball Corporation seeks an Automation & Controls Technician in Findlay, OH to install, troubleshoot and maintain high-speed process equipment, PLCs, VFDs and sensing devices across manufacturing lines. You will design improvements, interpret electrical schematics, update logs, and support 12-hour rotating shifts.

Must have HS diploma; electro-mechanical tech degree preferred; Rockwell PLC experience desirable.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or education equivalent required.
• Job-related experience for 3 years minimum.
• Electro-Mechanical Technology Degree (Preferred).
• Rockwell PLC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs and maintains high-speed, industrial process equipment for can and/or end making, power, lighting, control, and PLC logic controls.
• Identifies and designs process improvements for inefficiencies and coordinates through supervisor to implement.
• Diagnoses causes of malfunctions and corrects through field measurements and PLC software; optimizes line control.
• Maintains daily logs and updates wiring schematics and change forms; participates in shift turnover meetings.
• Work 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule; overtime or on-call as directed.
