Job summary

Solventum is seeking a Systems Control Technician to support production operations and maintain quality and safety across the plant in Irvine, CA. You will work on automated systems, robots, PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation, ensuring efficient and compliant performance.

The role requires a 2-year technical degree and 2+ years of maintenance experience, with training on 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift (Sun–Thu, 9:00 PM–5:30 AM).

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree in mechanical/electrical/electronics.
• Minimum two years of mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance experience.
• Willingness to work overtime and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and inspect plant equipment, electrical systems, and automation control systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot Fanuc robots, Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, power distribution systems, and other automated manufacturing equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC logic, instrumentation diagrams, and drawings to diagnose issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and testing to ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment.
• Load, modify, and support control system programs while keeping equipment data and records up to date.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering and Facilities to support installations, maintenance, and continuous improvement while following safety procedures (LOTO).
