Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial, partnering with a highly automated distribution facility in Buckeye, AZ, seeks a Maintenance Controls Technician to troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, and BMS. You will perform preventive maintenance on controls systems and material handling equipment, and support conveyors and sortation systems.

The role requires experience with PLCs, Allen-Bradley CompactLogix/ControlLogix, 3-phase power, MCCs, electrical safety, and independent work.

Qualifications

Experience with PLCs, automation controls, and electrical systems.
Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS) and HVAC fundamentals.
Understanding of 3-phase power systems, MCCs, and electrical safety practices.
Ability to troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and robotic systems.
Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, including CompactLogix and ControlLogix.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
Perform preventive maintenance on controls systems and material handling equipment.
Support conveyors, sortation systems, and other automated equipment.
Analyze system performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform emergency repairs.
Work with engineers and vendors on controls installations and upgrades.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts inventory.
