Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. in Saint Petersburg, FL, is seeking a Control Specialist to perform electrical and control system maintenance, troubleshoot drives, PLCs, VFDs and ensure safe operation of equipment.

You will install, validate, and source parts for obsoleted components, document maintenance activities, and collaborate with Engineering, Process, QA, Safety and Facilities. Shift is Monday–Friday, 7:15 AM – 2:30 PM, with 10% travel; we value reliability, teamwork and continuous

Qualifications

Education: High School or GED; AS Degree/Certification preferred.
Excellent Electrical/Electronic and PLC troubleshooting on various platforms.
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
Available for overtime, self-starter, a team player and should be able to work independently.
Minimum 3 years progressive maintenance and leadership experience; FDA regulations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Identify problems by reading schematics and repair to ensure safe operation.
Troubleshoot and repair drives, PLCs, VFDs, and control systems on equipment.
Perform PMs on drives and control systems.
Support and collaborate with Engineering, Process, QA, Safety and Facilities.
Document maintenance activities and source parts for obsoleted items; install/validate equipment.
Participate in CI, Safety audits, investigations and other company programs.
