Job summary
Fortune Brands Innovations seeks an Automation Maintenance Technician to diagnose and repair complex automation and control systems in our Mocksville, NC production facilities. You will troubleshoot Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs, HMI, servo, and VFD systems to keep lines running safely and efficiently.
With 3–5 years of experience and an associate degree in Industrial Automation or related field, you will modify ladder logic, support robotics, and handle electrical work up to 480V.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of supporting automated manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems up to 480V.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair complex automation and control system failures.
- Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, servo, VFD, and motion control systems.
- Modify PLC and HMI programs under engineering guidelines.
- Perform advanced electrical and controls troubleshooting.
- Support robotic programming, maintenance, and optimization.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and automation projects.
- Maintain industrial communication networks.
- Analyze downtime events and implement corrective actions.
- Train operators and maintenance personnel on equipment operation.
- Participate in continuous improvement and cost reduction projects.
