Job summary

WESTFRASER in South Carolina is seeking a skilled Electrical/Automation Engineer to manage teams, enhance PLC and automation systems, and champion project planning and implementation. The ideal candidate will possess a degree or related experience, with over 5 years in machine automation. Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs are essential. Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and/or operating machine automation solutions in the manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience in working on large-scale manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining and improving PLC and automation control systems safely.
• Train mill personnel on existing systems.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and aid local management in implementations.
• Conduct or supervise installation and operation of electrical systems.
