Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking an experienced automation engineer for a first-shift role in Connecticut. The position focuses on automation systems, robotics (3-axis to 6-axis), vision systems, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion controls.

4 years of experience in automation roles.
Associate degree or equivalent.
Experience with PLCs and industrial automation.
Knowledge of NPI and lean improvements.

Responsibilities

Lead automation and system integration across robotics, vision, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, and motion controls.
Manage complex automation and tooling projects from concept to completion.
Lead capital equipment justification, specification, and validation.
Design parts, fixtures, and EOAT using 3D CAD software.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, industrial networks, and low voltage controls.
Drive lean continuous improvement and NPI with KPI targets.
Collaborate with Engineering, Tooling, and Quality teams to standardize best practices and ensure machine safety.
