Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Electric Power Division, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of generator control switchgear systems.

You will deliver automation and control solutions for complex power systems, working both independently and with teams to execute retrofit and new projects from concept through commissioning. The role involves identifying retrofit opportunities, designing and testing controls, and supporting field

Qualifikationen

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of customer-focused design and service excellence.
Experience with automation and controls including PLC-based systems and HMIs.

Aufgaben

Identify retrofit opportunities and define project scope with Dealer and Factory teams.
Execute design, programming, testing, and commissioning of generator control systems.
Convert legacy PLC programs and validate performance against specs.
Develop PLC and HMI applications using standard templates.
Collaborate with CAD to produce wiring and assembly drawings.
