Job summary

MARSHALLTOWN is seeking Electrical Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 in Fayetteville, AR. You will gain hands-on experience implementing and supporting automation solutions to improve manufacturing processes and machines, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will work with mentors to design, program, and test electrical controls and automated systems, leveraging AutoCAD Electrical/Inventor and PLCs, with a focus on safety and production efficiency.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a relevant engineering degree with GPA 3.0+.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical and/or Autodesk Inventor.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and collaborative abilities.
• Knowledge of circuit design and power systems.
• Knowledge of Allen Bradley PLCs, Fanuc Robots, and/or HAAS CNCs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, specify, and implement electrical control systems
• Design and implement mechanical systems and fixtures for use in automated applications
• Program robots, PLCs, HMIs, and CNC equipment
• Work with mentors and teams to solve problems to improve real manufacturing processes
• Improve system designs for better safety and production efficiency
• Develop and execute in-house testing procedures
• Perform data collection and analysis
