Job summary

Cindavi is seeking a Controls Programmer I to translate electrical and mechanical concepts into reliable automation. You will program, debug, and commission custom machinery alongside experienced technicians, ensuring systems operate as designed and are ready for field service.

This early-career role focuses on strengthening PLC programming skills, machine sequencing, operator interfaces, and documentation, with hands-on training and real-world problem solving.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Foundational ladder logic and PLC programming knowledge.
• Ability to read electrical prints and schematics.
• Understanding of electrical fundamentals such as circuits and E-Stop.

Responsibilities

• Write and debug PLC code per project specs and customer requirements.
• Program HMI/GUI interfaces for operator interaction with automated equipment.
• Collaborate with technicians to validate machine sequences and reliability.
• Test devices and verify that mechanisms perform as intended.
• Maintain project documentation including drawings and bill of materials.
• Support field service and updates as needed.
• Contribute ideas to improve processes and quality.
