Job summary

Lasko Products, Inc is seeking an experienced Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission automated control systems for manufacturing. The role emphasizes PLC programming, electrical controls, and hands-on cabinet work while partnering with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and IT to deliver safe and cost-efficient automation.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
5–10 years in a manufacturing setting with PLC work.
Experience developing, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC programs.
Strong knowledge of electrical control systems and networks.
Hands-on wiring, panel building, and HMI configuration.
Proficient with MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

Design machine control systems and develop PLC programs end-to-end.
Troubleshoot equipment, identify root causes, implement fixes.
Design and service electrical/electronic control systems for new and existing equipment.
Improve automation and introduce new automated solutions.
Collaborate with mechanical design, IT, and operations on projects.
Support robotics, vision, and EOAT integration; program palletizers.
Provide on-site support to maintenance and operations teams.
Build and wire control cabinets and HMI panels; perform light fabrication.
Monitor real-time data acquisition and dashboards.
Travel to other Lasko facilities as needed.
