Job summary

Datrose is seeking an Automation & Controls Engineer for a client in Montgomeryville, PA. The role focuses on programming PLCs, designing HMI screens, and developing UL-listed control panels for ultrapure water systems.

You will collaborate with engineering, production, and installation teams, prepare electrical schematics, and support panel fabrication from wiring diagrams. Experience with RSLogix/Studio 5000 and AutoCAD is preferred.

Qualifications

Experience designing and programming PLC systems and providing electrical schematics.
Familiarity with instrumentation, control drawings, P&ID drawings, and cabinet layouts.
Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software as daily use and related HMI tools.
Ability to design, program, and troubleshoot control panels for water systems.

Responsibilities

Program PLC control systems and HMIs for instrumentation and controls.
Prepare PLC electrical schematics using AutoCAD or Draftsight.
Provide ladder logic and programming for water systems using CCW, RSLogix500, Studio 5000, Factory Talk Studio, and Cscape.
Create I/O and Alarm lists from P&ID drawings and project descriptions.
Create control panel BOMs and instrument take-offs from schematics.
Provide technical support for panel fabrication and component mounting per wiring diagrams.
