Job summary

Air Liquide Electronics seeks a Controls Engineer in Morrisville, PA to design, implement, and troubleshoot automated control systems at the site. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to enhance hardware/software, collect process data, and ensure safety and compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 3–5 years of related experience with PLC/DCS programming, Rockwell hardware, and electrical schematics. Strong problem solving and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or electrical engineering with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience programming PLC/DCS and local controllers for chemical plant design, operation and data collection.
• Knowledge of codes and standards (UL, NEC, NFPA) as applied to hazardous materials handling.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and software (Rockwell ControlLogix/Studio 5000, FactoryTalk).
• Ability to develop and interpret electrical schematics such as line diagrams, instrument loop drawings, ladder logic.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills; team player with leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and troubleshoot automated industrial control systems at the Morrisville, PA site.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in troubleshooting, programming, and installation of control systems.
• Upgrade control system hardware and software to improve operations and data collection.
• Design, develop, and modify process control systems (PLCs, SCADA, HMIs).
• Specify, procure, and troubleshoot pressure, temperature, flow, and level instruments.
• Create instrumentation/control documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, schematics, control narratives).
• Troubleshoot software/hardware malfunctions to support plant operations.
• Ensure installations meet ISA, NEC, OSHA safety standards; oversee startup of new systems.
